Stone Crest Wedding Eric + Janel

I took a call from Janel last year, asking if I would photograph their intimate ceremony at a park in Frisco. I gladly spent that time photographing them along with their immediate family in the park one sunny day. Spending that afternoon with them made coming to photograph their Stone Crest Wedding even more meaningful.

I really just is so special to be a part of someone’s wedding…but to photograph the small ceremony with their closest family members and then to photograph their larger event, like this Stone Crest Wedding, really made me feel like part of their family too!

There was a threat of thunderstorms, hail, and potential tornadoes on this day but the couple did not let that get their spirits down. The rain plan was in place and lucky for us we were able to get all the photos outside before the rain.

Thoughts from the bride and groom

What was the most memorable part of the day?
Bride:First look
Groom:First look

What was it like planning during COVID? What was your biggest challenge?
Bride:Tiring due to asking people multiple times to throw away previous save the dates, invitations, change the dates, etc. and communicate with guests all dates, times, locations, etc. as well as determining whether they were coming or not each time.
Groom:Exhausting because of communication with vendors for each date change and specifications that changed between the date.

What advice do you have for future Couples?
Bride:Don’t put your wedding date on anything until the ceremony is over. Eat privately with your spouse to take in the experience, slow down, and make sure you eat. Also, provide flip flops for guests so when their feet hurt they’ll keep dancing!
Groom:Do what’s important to you!

Funniest Memory from the day?
Bride:Not sure funniest is the proper term but was so excited to see my entire family including parents out on the dance floor having a great time!
Groom:Fantasy football trophy hand off

Is there any thing you would change about your wedding day looking back?
Bride:Try a piece of the wedding and grooms cake!!
Groom:I wouldn’t put our wedding date on anything other than that it was perfect!
