I am so glad you are here! I would love more than anything to get to know you...but it's important that you get to know a little bit about myself, how the Kate + Co team works, and see some lovely images!
While you are here browse around and let me know if I can answer any questions!
Mary and Luke dealt with the trials of wedding planning during covid like many couples. After more than one reschedule and the decision to have an intimate ceremony in 2020 they finalized their marriage in front of family and friends for this Brik Venue Wedding.
Then on the wedding day they dealt with the threat of thunderstorms, hail, and a possible tornado. Yet, they kept a positive attitude and made the most of the Brik Venue Wedding day!
Kathryn and Nathan photographed this beautiful wedding day. Even through the rain threats they made sure to help the couple make sure they got their one wish….wedding day photos on the rooftop of Brik!
Thoughts from the bride and groom
What was the most memorable part of the day?
Bride:Finally getting to do my rooftop pictures. It was so stressful because there were going to be storms ALL day and we had a glimmer of hope and RAN up to the roof. I cannot WAIT to see those pictures.
Groom: seeing Mary for the first time when the doors opened. And also our private last dance just getting to be together alone after all the craziness.
What was it like planning during COVID? What was your biggest challenge?
Bride:Luke is my rock, so when everything shut down and we had to pick a new day, it was easy. I still cried but I knew that I was marrying the right man. The biggest challenge we faced was making sure that everyone would be safe.
Groom:Not really different. Just had to make sure we allowed for distancing and of course having to reschedule…TWICE!
What advice do you have for future Couples?
Bride:It is what it is. You can plan until your heart is content, but that doesn’t mean it’s all going to go according to plan. We had to change our date 3 times, ended up paying for 2 videographers & only using one, but still had the best day ever!
Groom:Don’t sweat the little things when you’re planning your wedding. It really does work out. And at the end of the day all that matters is that you get to leave with your new spouse
Funniest Memory from the day?
Bride:I was sitting on the couch in the Bridal Suite in full hair and makeup and my dress covering the entire thing. My sweet 8 year old cousin came in, star struck, and came over with some m&ms in hand and said, “For my queen” and bowed out. I about cried!!
Groom:We thought the rain was over, but as soon as Mary walked out and met me at the end, there was a crack of lightening and torrential rain. She looked up and mouthed, “well sh*t” and then saw I was mic’d up for the videographer. I tried so hard not to laugh
Is there any thing you would change about your wedding day looking back?
Bride:I got to marry the love of my life AGAIN. But I would say to tell whoever you know is in charger to save you a piece of every dessert. We both got a bite of cake and a bite of a cakeball. We were so sad that we didn’t get all the treats we picked out.
Groom: Nothing really. Maybe more time with groomsmen.
