I couldn’t have been more excited for Tanner + Emily’s wedding! It was my first full, big wedding to photograph in 2021. For a moment it felt like things were back to normal. This Springs Lodge Wedding brought back all my excitement I used to have for weddings. There was hustle and bustle in the getting ready areas, there was excitement, smiling faces, and so so much happiness!

Emily + Tanner had a beautiful, thoughtful day. They chose to have a first touch so that they could have a moment together but still leave seeing each other for the first time as Emily walked down the isle. They put together an anniversary box with a bottle of wine and letters they wrote to each other on the wedding day. They will open the box on their one year anniversary.

I love when our grooms throw in their fun ideas. Tanner wanted to peek behind the tree as if he was looking for his bride. I love him for this quirkiness!

What was the most memorable part of the day?

Bride:Walking down the aisle to my new HUSBAND!

Groom:My beautiful bride walking down the aisle.

What was it like planning during COVID? What was your biggest challenge?

Bride:The most challenging was vendor availability since everyone was rescheduling their weddings to 2021.

Groom: Making sure everyone felt comfortable and safe but also having a great time.

What advice do you have for future Couples?

Bride:At the end of the day, you’re marrying the love of your life. Don’t sweat the small stuff!

Groom:Try and enjoy the moment. Your big day is special and you’ll remember it forever. Just enjoy it!

Funniest Memory from the day?

Bride:My maid of honor dropped the ring in my veil at the ceremony and she couldn’t find it!

Groom:Watching my best man cut up a rug on the dance floor.

Is there any thing you would change about your wedding day looking back?

Bride:Not a thing!

Groom: No, of course not!
