Missouri White Chapel Wedding Ty + Madison

We all know I love my Missouri weddings so going back to my home state for this Missouri White Chapel wedding was a treat.

While navigating COVID I was able to photograph Ty + Madison’s engagement session. As we spoke about couples rescheduling and how their planning was going it was nice to hear Madison say “I just want to be married to him…so however many people can show up is great.” That is kind of what she said in my own words, but you get the idea.

I love when couples are just excited to get married. I also love that I was able to follow their relationship along as they dated, became engaged, and planned an got married. We photographed Madison’s sisters wedding as well. At the end of her sister Ashley’s engagement session their parents pulled into the parking lot to meet Ashley and her fiancé to go to dinner. It was “meet the parents” night for Ty so he and Madison were in the backseat of the parents vehicle. I actually got to meet Ty on “meet the parents” night so I felt just like part of the family.

I really am like part of the family anyhow so it was fine. These girls and I go way back. My husband and I used to go to church in Mo with their family and I used to teach the girls class at church so it just felt right to be there and meet Ty and I probably gave him a little bit of a hard time like the rest of the family, haha!

Back to the wedding. The venue was stunning, even in the rain for this Missouri White Chapel wedding. The weather was not about to get this couple down….now the steaks that the guys made the night before, that’s another story. I don’t actually know much about that besides my husband/second shooter peeking his head in asking if I had medicine for some stomachs in the grooms suite.

The girls room however was full of smiles allllll morning long.

On a rainy wedding day you just have to do the best you can as a photographer and photograph where you can. When I threw the idea out for just a few outside with the field in the background and both Ty + Madison said yes without hesitation I was ecstatic!!

A stunning reception followed that night. We loved watching these two and their families dance and find joy in this day. Nathan & I were able to catch up with some old friends too!

We loved working with these Missouri Vendors!
