My first wedding back at in Texas this summer was at The Wildflower Wedding Venue. When Courtney booked I was so so excited for their wedding to be here. It looks amazing in photos….in person, it is a dream!
I was so excited to be shooting weddings again (although I didn’t know it would be short lived excitement as things are still being postponed) and off I went that morning! Driving up to the venue I was thinking about Courtney and Kaden and their style. I always wonder at the beginning of a wedding how the venue will fit a couples style. The Wildflower Wedding venue was the perfect match for these two.
A beautiful, updated barn…pond for the guys to fish, fields. It was rustic, yet classy and elegant. Just beautiful!
A few thoughts from the couple
What was the most memorable part of the day?
Bride:Walking down the isle with my dad – I just remember staring at Kaden the entire time I was walking, and then standing there with him, finally!
Groom:The part where we actually got married.
What was it like planning during COVID? What was your biggest challenge?
Bride: Our biggest challenge was having to cut our guest list significantly. I was so stressed about not inviting everyone we sent save-the-dates to. But, it still ended up perfect in the end!
Groom: Our guest list was the biggest challenge.
What advice do you have for future Couples?
Bride: Enjoy the planning process and the wedding day! Don’t stress over the small stuff – the thing I am most proud of from our wedding is finally just saying “whatever, it will all be fine in the end” and it was!
Groom: Don’t stress out, it’s all going to be fine!
Funniest Memory from the day?
Bride: As everyone was waiting on us to do our sparkler exit, my husband slapping his face (after drinking a little too much) and telling Kate “just give me like… 30 minutes.”
Groom: My groomsman ripping his pants on the dance floor.
Is there any thing you would change about your wedding day looking back?
Bride: Not a thing – it was perfect!
